The Team

We are a team committed to a better world. We think Ecocide law is a game changer for the whole of humanity. So we would like you to get involved. Our campaign is open source, so if you have a good idea please go right ahead and do it! Also, check out our page on “What you can do“.

The team

Polly Higgins, Lawyer for the Earth proposed Ecocide as the 5th Crime Against Peace to the UN in 2010. Polly is the author of the award-winning Eradicating Ecocide: laws and governance to prevent the destruction of our planet. She has been voted one of the “World’s Top 10 Visionary Thinkers” by the Ecologist and named “the Planet’s lawyer” by the 2010 Change Awards. Find out more about Polly, or hear Polly speak.

Joe Hall, Head of Campaign has previously worked for Save the Children and Amnesty International. Joe also campaigned to become an MP in the last general election. As well as being a strategic brain for the campaign, Joe is also very creative and tech-savvy. He first got involved in the campaign in September 2010, when he made a video for Polly’s Eradicating Ecocide book launch.  You can see Joe speak about Ecocide for the Occupy LSX ‘green day‘.

Zoe Lujic, Communities Coordinator, is a lifelong environmentalist who holds an MSc in Environmental Decision Making. Since meeting Polly two years ago she has supported the campaign as a volunteer, and is proud to join the team. Zoe has a passion for Permaculture, and in the past she ran an award-winning urban food growing organisation in South London. She spends her spare time spreading Permaculture in her native Serbia.

Louise Kulbicki, Legal Coordinator recently finished studying a Masters in Environmental Law and Policy at UCL, following her undergraduate studies in Law. Throughout university she pursued voluntary work with a range of environmental organisations including Friends of the Earth, Natural England, Highbury Transition Town and Wild Law UK. Louise joined the Eradicating Ecocide team in January 2012 and is looking forward to using the law as a tool for positive change.
