The story of our times could be how we created laws to protect the Earth and stopped Ecocide. Imagine a world where Ecocide is a crime. Imagine a world where governments and corporations protect our environment rather than destroying it. This could be our legacy for our children and our children’s children.
To achieve this, millions of people need to hear about this campaign by the Earth Summit in June 2012. This is when world leaders will meet at the biggest environment summit for 20 years. We need your help to build a global campaign, to take the message to every leader around the world, to get people everywhere standing up and saying “yes – let’s make Ecocide the 5th international crime against peace”.
We are asking for £100,000 to build a base for our team for the next 5 months. That means that we can continue our good work. We are seeding out our message in many creative ways: we are speaking to youths, students, lawyers, academics, politicians, business and faith leaders.
We are grateful for every gift we receive. Without you, our campaign would not exist. We are part of the gift economy, a new economy that is growing throughout the world where people gift their money, time or voice to help change the world.
